In recognition of the growing need to provide the dismounted and
mounted war fighters with up to date command & control, situational
awareness and other mission critical information, the SMMI provides the
user with a lightweight, easy to use display controller that provides rapid
access to information on the move, therefore allowing the user to focus
on the mission.
The SMMI incorporates 7 controls that can be individually mapped via USB
to allow optimum flexibility.
It can be fitted with a 3 axis Digital Magnetic Compass (DMC) to provide
the user with the ability to navigate and determine his orientation, or the
orientation of other features.
