Ground–breaking High Power Fiber Delivery Makes Debut at BiOS & Photonics West 2010
Based upon Qioptiq's highly successful kineFLEX™ technology, the new kineFLEX™-HPV will set a new standard
January 26, 2010
Qioptiq will be launching its new high-power kineFLEX™-HPV product at BiOS (Booth 8716) and Photonics West (Booth 1523).
Based upon Qioptiq's highly successful kineFLEX™ technology, the new kineFLEX™-HPV will set a new standard for singlemode, polarisation maintaining fiber delivery performance by enabling laser powers of up to 500mW to be transmitted, whilst still maintaining True Gaussian beam performance.
The kineFLEX™-HPV enhances the performance of the company’s well established high performing fiber delivery whilst continuing to offer, under-surpassed pointing stability, truly co-linear laser delivery for single and multiple wavelengths. The continued commitment to performance enhancements means that when combined with Point Source’s kineMATIX™-P2 manipulator, ease of use and user performance are increased thereby making the technology ideal for the highest level of optical performance for instrumentation designers.
This advancement in technology represents a giant step forward allowing increases of capability in emerging new experimental imaging techniques such as PALM and GSDIM. The increase in fiber-coupled power provides greater flexibility for developments in instrument design for various markets. The kineFLEX™-HPV allows a wider range of options for wide field illumination techniques as well as fulfilling demand for higher power sources for use with emerging techniques such as STORM and will help make the future of imaging systems much more clear.
With the release of this technology, Point Source is now able to offer increased capability and performance of its suite of laser products such as iFLEX2000™ and iFLEX-Viper™.
